One of the greatest advantages of country music is that it is universal. The UK currently boasts the fourth biggest audience for the genre, behind the USA, Canada and Australia - three lands of vast terrain and an enormously rich commercial country tradition.
To that end, the UK-CMA will reach out to worldwide organisations, not least the Country Music Association (CMA) in Nashville. The main focus will be to build relationships between the UK country music industry and those overseas. This includes promoters, event organisers, festival bookers, charities and, of course, artists.

Our outreach effort will also encompass Academy workshops and networking events, linking managers and acts from across the world, as well as providing tips on how to navigate the increasingly choppy waters of the modern music industry.
Led by the ever passionate Donna Zanetti, herself an esteemed manager, the board will connect the dots between domestic and international promoters, and also act as a UK node whenever acts from overseas want to play within the UK. We may also represent the genre on panels and at trade fairs, and shout about the quality of UK country music as a genre.
There may also be opportunities to secure sponsorships and partnerships, bringing in brands from outside the music industry to support the UK-CMA’s efforts.
It’s a big job but we’re ready for the challenge!
