Country music in the UK grew over 380% between 2019 and 2024, however, most of that growth didn't benefit UK artists or industry professionals. While US artists filled British venues and mainstream country radio playlists, UK artists were largely overlooked.
Enter the UK Country Music Association (UK-CMA).
Our Mission is to promote and develop UK country music, both domestically and internationally, and build a united community of artists, industry professionals and supporters. In short, we want an equal footing for UK country music right here in the UK.
To achieve our mission, we‘ve built the foundations of our business and its activities with the following formal Code of Ethics. It sets the standards that directors, members, volunteers, and ambassadors must follow:
We believe that, by doing these four things throughout our organisation, we will achieve our goal - to greatly enhance the reputation of UK country music and maximise the opportunities for everyone involved in it.
UK-CMA is run by a board elected by the membership and represents the different member type. Initially, the board consists of the five people who’ve committed the time and effort to set up UK-CMA.
