Confused by publishing, royalties and what actually happens to your songs once they’re out in the world?

This session is designed to strip back the jargon and give you a straightforward, practical understanding of music publishing. Whether you’re just starting out or have songs already released, this session will give you tools to get the most out of your work.

  • How royalties are collected and paid
  • The basics of sync and how it works
  • How to manage your rights and income
  • What publishers do, and when you might need one

There’ll also be time for Q&A at the end.

UK-CMA members will receive an invite / booking link to this event in due course.

Joel Dipple

Joel is the Client Lead at Sentric Music, where he supports and develops the publishing income of their songwriting roster. He works closely with Sentric’s creative, sync, and A&R teams to help artists grow their catalogue and income.

A regular speaker at major industry events like Reeperbahn, MPA’s Publishing 101, and educational institutions including BIMM and LIPA, Joel brings a clear, relatable style to an area that’s often seen as overwhelming.
